Please find attached the announcement and schedule for the upcoming one-day Conference on the Union Approach to OSHA and Safety and Health. This is an important program, sponsored by the Bureau of Labor Education and supported by our Building Trades Council, along with the Central Councils in Maine. Details are included in the attachment.

What is Organizing? The common term for a group of workers looking to join a union is “Organizing.” Workers organize for various reasons, be it to improve their working conditions, increase their pay or benefits, and/or to create a better working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Age: 18 years minimum.

Education: High school graduate, G.E.D Certificate or equivalent.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Objective: The Plumber or Pipefitter Apprenticeship Program is a five-year (5) training program.
